And now back to our regularly scheduled program…

I like to ease back into the daily grind — empty out the Inbox, update my code repositories. It’s like stretching before a workout. Jump right into it too quickly and you might pull something.

.

Hmmm, yes, clearly the entire problem with the Iraq war has been lousy marketing.

 .

I’ve been going a little overboard on the calorie intake the past couple days, so now that I’m back home and in my regular routine, I’ll be keeping track again.  Today’s diary below:

Calorie Intake:

  • 1/2 cup wheat/flax cereal w/ raisins & brown sugar – 500 cal
  • 341ml can Minute Maid OJ – 160 cal
  • small slice chocolate pound cake – 300 cal(?)
  • 2 x Astro fruit bottom yogurt – 240 cal
  • Boost protein supplement shake – 240 cal
  • Vector energy bar – 220 cal
  • 2 x Quaker Chewy Chocolate Chip granola bar – 360 cal
  • 600ml bottle Gatorade – 125 cal
  • 1 can Red Bull – 110 cal
  • 1 can diet Red Rain energy drink – 20 cal
  • 2 cups cooked rice – 480 cal
  • 200g General Tso’s chicken – 360 cal

Total In: 3115 calories

Calories Expended:

Life

Lunch workout

  • 15min skipping – 200 cal
  • 45min shadowboxing/heavy bag/calisthenics – 500 cal

Evening workout

  • 15min skipping – 200 cal
  • 5 rounds sparring – 250 cal
  • 2 rounds hand pads – 75 cal
  • 2 rounds shadowboxing – 50 cal

Total Expended: 3975 calories
Daily Net Calories: (minus 860)

Today’s sparring was just working the body.  I’ve got pretty good abs, but taking a solid body shot sucks.  Need to work on this more–when I’m working inside I have to stay lower, which allows the forearms and elbows to protect the midsection easier.  After tonight’s workout I was 156lbs–lowest I’ve been in 12-13 years.
