I just saw the Michael Bay/Verizon ad for the first time today:
This is how I picture Bay directing/editting:
“Good take, we’ll awesome that up a little bit in post!”
“That’s a good scene, but not awesome. Cut it.”
“Where are the pyro guys, could we get some more fire in this shot?”
If only they could have worked in a slow-motion circular pan around a close-up of Bay and the Verizon guy with a helicopter flying over them in the background. I guess there’s only so much awesome you can fit in a 30second spot.
